Chris Woodyard is a writer and historian based in Ohio. She is the author of nine books on Ohio ghost-lore, as well as three volumes on historical ghost stories, as well as The Victorian Book of the Dead, a book on the popular and material culture of Victorian mourning and death and A is for Arsenic: An ABC of Victorian Death.
