Kyle Mewburn is one of New Zealand's best known and most productive writers for children. She has published more than 40 children's books in various genres in nine countries around the world and has won numerous awards, including the Book of the Year Award for Old Hu-Hu and the Best Picture Book and Children's Choice awards for Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck!. She was Children's Writer in Residence at Otago University in 2011 and President of the New Zealand Society of Authors from 2013- 2017.
