This study gives the idea about useful utilization of leather waste from industry and domestic plastic waste. This study gives the idea about useful utilization of leather waste from industry and domestic plastic waste. This study reports the preparation and characterization of composite based on High density polyethylene (HDPE) waste and wet blue leather waste. These two wastes are compounded with three different formulations using two roll mill at a temperature of 1800deg C at 15 rpm. After milling composite mixtures were compression molded at a temperature of 1900 deg C and less than 40 ton of pressure to improve surface finish. The specimens were punched out as per ASTM standard for testing various mechanical properties after molding. The final plate has thickness of around 3mm and further processed for tensile strength, tear strength, flexural and hardness tests. The three formulations are made to found the various properties of the formulations and its properties are compared with various polymers.

O Autor concluiu a Licenciatura em Engenharia em 2013 pela Universidade Anna, Tamil Nadu. Fez no seu Mestrado em Fabrico Integrado de Computadores em 2015. Actualmente a prosseguir a sua investigação. Apresentou muitos artigos em conferências internacionais e participou em muitos workshops. Também publicou muitas revistas na área da composição.
