Autorenporträt
Teresa Pijoan grew up on the San Juan Pueblo reservation and the Nambe Indian reservation in New Mexico, even though she herself is not Native American. But her early experiences and bicultural background instilled in her a deep respect for and an understanding of pueblo life. She is the author of many books including "Ways of Indian Magic: Stories Retold," "American Indian Creation Myths," "Healers on the Mountain and Other Myths of Native American Medicine," "Native American Creation Stories of Family and Friendship: Stories Retold," "Myths of Magical Native American Women Including Salt Woman Stories," "Water Stories of Native American and Asian Indians: Legends of Rain, Rivers and Lakes," and two mystery novels, "Dead Kachina Man" and "Granger's Threat," all from Sunstone Press.
