The wounds that would not allow me to let others do things for me because I always thought that I had to be the giver instead of the recipient. Yes, Shane inflicted some of those wounds, but he did not inflict all of them. I was hoping that at least with him, the healing process could begin because maybe those wounds were the deepest. Maybe I was just pretending that they were not incubating inside of me, but surely they were there, dormant and ready to come to the surface at anytime. Wow, this was a perfect place to start, around family. This would also give me a chance to open up to sisters that I had not grown up with. I knew their names, but was I giving as much effort as they were to unite? I was convinced that I was not and I knew that this too was a very good place to start. With Karen and Cindy, it would be easy because they were full of kindness, love, and happiness. Whatever their mother did, she made sure that Shane did not have any negative impact on their lives that would affect their adulthood.
