Autorenporträt
The genesis of my love of writing occurred when I entered a Young Author's contest in the second grade. Since then I've had an affection for writing and collaborating with other authors. I believe that the mere thought of writing a book begins a cathartic process between the mind and soul from deep within the author; therefore, I thoroughly enjoy coaching and mentoring aspiring authors. Good writing is the crystallization of pure thought. Publishing a book allows us to share our "crystals" with the world.Dear Beer is the 7th book I've written and published, and it's certainly a major departure from my norm. Growing up, I was a huge Dr. Seuss fan. From The Cat in the Hat to The Sneetches to Green Eggs and Ham, I used to have them all memorized and could recite these poetic masterpieces on command. I've always loved poetry and comedy. So, I thought, why not create some Seuss-style books for adults? Beer and I have had a love/hate relationship for three decades now; therefore, beer was the logical topic to broach in my first-ever adult comic/coffee table book. And then I thought, you know what this world needs? ... Adult coloring books! So, there's a paperback coloring book version as well. You're welcome:) But I didn't stop there. Dear Beer is funny when you read it, but it's hilarious when I read it and you listen along. You know, kinda like how your parents used to read bedtime stories to you when you were a kid. So, pop a top and down a brew (or not), read, color, laugh, and listen along. Then close your eyes, go to sleep, and dream frothy dreams of your favorite brews. Cheers, Sean Donovan
