The purpose of this book is to awaken leaders to the unique opportunities now present in the areas typically delegated to Health and Safety. It is a strategy to utilize existing resources to fully develop and engage human potential to catapult business achievement. The confluence of Covid-19, the resulting burnout, the attention on diversity, equity and inclusion generated by the Black Lives Matter movement and the 'great resignation' continues to create openings to fundamentally change how we address personal development, sustainable growth and social responsibility. The argument within is that the better we manage the social aspects of the organization, the better our business results.

Rezensionen
"This is an important book detailing the core principles of organizational development state of the practice. As Carrillo correctly points out, the COVID-19 pandemic was a global event that cracked the barrier to significant systemic change. Moreover, we are still experiencing the changes from psychological 'languishing' to 'laying flat' and the great resignation phenomenon. However, the pace of change is increasing, and her book is THE field manual on navigating the turbulent social psychological waters. Although she and I perhaps use slightly different terms to center the need for 'safety and health concerns, our messages are the same. I wholeheartedly endorse her message that systemic thinking, integration of people and technical systems, and trust-based leadership are the critical ingredients to the new arrangement of people in time and space. Well-being is the goal and intentionally designing our social networks is the means to becoming 'future ready. Get this book, read it and meditate upon the wisdom. This one has got to go in your backpack for the journey forward."

"This book does a superb job of highlighting the significant issues and challenges that many industries and businesses are facing today. Rosa Carrillo has done an outstanding job of researching and shedding light on the causes of dysfunction in modern social systems. She deals with many topics that are not well understood and addressed in current organizational management practice - included in this is the evolving nature of change management, leadership and employee engagement. The author masterfully deals with the role and potential of leadership and relationships to address the complex issues at the heart of organizational performance. This book is a highly significant contribution to the literature on developing human potential and has much to offer to practitioners, scholars and organizations by providing expert insights into where changes are needed and where solutions lie. I highly recommend it."

Brett Read, Co-author of the Amazon best seller, Safety Performance Reimagined.

"This book supplies the missing pieces for a holistic safety program. In particular, the discussions around Psychosocial Hazards (PSH) and the real impact they have on a safety culture were eye opening."
