Revision with unchanged content. Indicators are used to characterize different society issues such as demographic situation, status of environment, economy development. In this book I used four categories of indicators: demographic, health, environmental and economic to describe and compare the existing situation and changes that took place in Hungary and Moldova during 13 years period. The economy development, its size is directly joined to the status of demographic, health and environmental indicators. The higher is GNI per capita better should be the population indexes, general health of population and the status of environment. Mainly this is absolutely correct. The following book shows however that there were found several indicators, from above groups, which in case of Moldova, country with much lower GNI per capita power purchasing parity than Hungary, are much better looking, proving that in fact the level of GNI per capita is important but there are also other factors, culture, local particularities that determine the evolution of indicators.
