Through health education, Physical Education seeks to transmit knowledge so that people can, based on their resources and social support, learn about their challenges and decide on the most appropriate action to maintain a healthy life. However, some questions about the life history and beliefs of individuals do not often receive the attention they deserve. Therefore, the aim of this study is to reflect on the role of anthropologists and physical education professionals in formulating health education strategies. It also aims to understand the relationship between individuals' experiences of health and illness and their culture, representations and subjectivities.

Luciana Maria Masiero est titulaire d'un doctorat en sciences sociales et d'une maîtrise en anthropologie de l'université de Salamanque. Elle est titulaire d'un diplôme de troisième cycle en administration hospitalière et en gestion de la santé, d'un diplôme en physiothérapie du Centre universitaire IPA et d'un diplôme en éducation physique de l'UFRGS. Elle est également professeur de yoga et de Pilates, maître de Reiki et thérapeute holistique.
