This work seeks to highlight a microscopic view of the health benefits of the Indian almond leaf extracts on the blood profile of diabetic mammals. The study was conducted in the Department of Human Physiology, University of Uyo, Nigeria and it was found that the aqueous extracts of the plant leaves provided similar anti-inflammatory effects as some known NSAIDs on diabetes-induced albino rats. The study also sought to identify the mechanism of action of the extracts in relation to that of the known NSAIDs used for the experiment.
