The book consists of IX chapters. The introduction to the concept forms Chapter I. In Chapter II, the relevant literature (both empirical and conceptual studies) has been reviewed. Chapter III deals with the detailed discussion on data base and research methodology. Chapter IV deals with the performance evaluation of health insurance business of general insurance companies. Performance has been evaluated in terms of both efficiency and productivity of general insurance company in relation to health insurance business. Chapter V deals with the comparative study of health insurance plans of general insurance companies in India. For this inclusion/coverage and exclusion/non coverage are both considered. Chapter VI devoted to get insight into working and performance of Community Health Insurance in India (CHI). Chapter VII deals with the examination of role played by Third Party Administrators (TPAs) with reference to role defined by IRDA. Chapter VIII devoted to the analysis of perception of respondents toward health insurance. This analysis is multidimensional in nature. Chapter IX presents the summary of findings and conclusion of the study.
