Ginelle Edmondson is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Professional Nursing and a Master of Public Health from New York University, with additional studies in Global Public Health at The University of Cape Town, in Cape Town, South Africa. Born in Guyana, South America, and raised in Queens, New York, she has always had an interest in health. However, it was witnessing the devastation of the HIV/AIDS crisis on the health systems in South Africa that "was a life-changing experience." She returned to NYU to complete her Master in Public Health coursework and became a Foreign Service Health Officer at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). She, her husband and children enjoyed several years of military life and now reside in civilian life. Ginelle has amassed nearly a decade of Health Minutes (brief topics to improve one's physical, spiritual and mental well-being that she presented to numerous congregations during their church services). She currently works in the Mountain View Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in West Virginia as Health Ministries Director.
