Dolores M. Huffman, RN, PhD, has been a nursing educator for over thirty years. In her academic career she has taught classroom health issues for elementary teachers. In addition, she has been employed as a community health nurse. In that capacity, she has worked with families of school-age children living with disability and has previously served as a camp nurse for special needs children. Her interest covers the health needs of persons across the lifespan. She is currently Associate Professor of Nursing at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Indiana, where she may be reached by e-mail at huffman@calumet.purdue.edu has been a nursing educator for over thirty years.
