The increase in demand for care in public health units and the greater supply of services and care has led to an accumulation of waste with a high rate of contagion and which has regulations requiring responsible disposal. The major problem with RSS is the lack of awareness and knowledge among managers and employees who work in waste management establishments. Therefore, this article aims to present the results of the project to readjust the current forms of Solid Health Waste Management adopted at the Poliambulatório in the city of Foz do Iguaçu. The adjustments to the current PGRSS were based on current resolutions. During the course of the readjustment project, visits were made to characterize the study area. During the characterization, managers and employees were interviewed, the floor plan was analyzed, the environments were photographed, the existing PGRSS was analyzed and, finally, it was compared with the legislation. At the end of the readjustment project, the main results were two products: implementation and guidance for the execution of the new PGRSS and the creation of risk maps.
