This book is entirely based on a study carried out among children engaged in child labour in Pokhara, Nepal and more specifically among the child domestic workers. Behind the closed door millions of children worldwide are spending their childhood for their employer and his/her children. Child labour,the global problem deprives children from education, health services, nutrition, love, affection, care, protection, rest and recreation which are the basic rights of each child. They are unaware of how detrimental the long hours of work beyond their capabilities and threshold might have on their physical, psychological, social, moral, spiritual and intellectual development. Finding out the magnitude of health problem among child laborer is crucial. The impact on health status as well as the factors associated with these problems are discussed along with the prevalence of health problems, nutritional status and causes of child labour. So the author feels this piece of work will have great help for nurses, other health workers, students of social science and all who are interested in such arena.
