The research focused on the concept of directly observed therapy, short course (DOTS) strategy recommended by WHO as the basis of control of TB in the world. Objectives: the study was undertaken to gain insight into health workers knowledge, attitude and practices of the DOTS strategy in Bushenyi It was also aimed at determining how well Bushenyi has adopted the TB-DOTS and to gain a general view of the overall implementation of the T.B-DOTS as a TB control method. Method: It was a descriptive cross section survey and the study population comprised health workers from 15 health centers and 3 hospitals who were randomly selected and take part in the management of TB in Bushenyi. Data collection was done by using a self-administered questionnaire with structured questions, which were pre-tested in the field. Data analysis was done using EPI INFO ver.6, SPSS and excels soft ware packages. Results: one hundred eighty respondents were recruited, of these, only 166(92%) returned their questionnaires early enough for inclusion in the data analysis.
