It may be possible to maintain and improve functional health or at least prevent the decline in functional health associated with biological ageing, which in turn somewhat related to chronological age. This may be achieved by taking small and simple steps in everyone's daily life such as regular physical activity, eating healthy and balanced diet, limiting alcohol consumption within recommended amount, etc. This book, therefore, provides an important public health message and incentive not only to clinicians and policy makers but also to the general public on how best to maintain functional health.
