The author of the book, Joseph Gascho, is a cardiologist, poet, and photographer from Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. His first book of poetry, Cornfields, Cottonwoods, Seagulls, and Sermons. Growing Up in Nebraska, was published in 2017.
