Jonah and Willa found their faith the hard way. They fought it for years each in their own way. Jonah, a veteran, thought he could do it all on his own. He didn't need help, except he did. His family fell apart. His wife divorced him, his kids, now grown, were busy with their own lives. He had failed them all. Willa let anxiety get the better of her. She managed it the best she could, but it was always there, lurking, waiting for a weak moment. They had good jobs and friends but what they lacked was hope. God found each of them in their struggle, brought them together and put them on a mission. Surrendering to His will they dedicated their lives to the pursuit of the call of James 1:27, to care for the orphan. Almost immediately they found Wren, a baby born into a broken system, failed by so many in her young life. The bureaucracy strung them along for two years before finally allowing what God had already decreed, her adoption into their family. They had been steadfast and trusted God. He made everything right in his time, giving them time to become a true family unit living in his presence. This might have been their 'happily ever after' moment, but God had other ideas. Ten years later, on their way to an event they were led to a strange portal. Jonah was thrown through and his family followed to a new world experiencing some old challenges. They would find themselves on Aeramor, a world of sword and sorcery, that had recently been exposed to the truth of Adonai. Can Jonah, Willa, Wren and their faithful dog Leo help the people of that world navigate the Old Testament times of the Judges and Prophets? Can they fend off the enemy forces aligned to prevent these people from understanding the character and goals of the One True God? Can they find a way home while obediently living out God's will to spread his gospel to these people?
