It explicates the plant-pollutant interaction in a manner that defines not only the drastic effects of pollutants on plants but concomitantly highlights the effects of heavy metals on soil. Ionic impulsions of different toxic heavy metals of the plants and soil were used to categorize the tolerance level of different plant species under study. O Dr. Devendra K. Soni trabalha na CPCB (MoEF&CC), Índia, como Cientista Sénior. Trabalhou para o seu projecto de Doutoramento no NEERI, Nagpur, Índia. O Dr. Soni tem uma rica experiência de mais de 32 anos no campo das actividades de controlo da poluição. É autor de mais de 30 artigos de investigação/capítulos de livros e mais de 60 relatórios técnicos/apresentações feitas em diferentes fóruns.
