Heavy metal poisoning is a serious public health problem and mainly affects populations near mining centers. The objective of this study was to quantify the concentrations of Mercury(Hg), Lead(Pb) and Arsenic(As) in urine samples of children and adolescents working in Cerro el Toro in the mining community of Shiracmaca, Huamachuco, Peru.
