"In Hellgate, P. Grady Cox delivers an edgy, relentless novel about a savage West that, in spite of its violence, reveals just how much the human spirit can endure." --Johnny Boggs, Spur Award-Winning Author of Return to Red River "P. Grady Cox has written a wonderful second novel in Hellgate. It is action packed and violent, but the action proceeds from brilliantly conceived, well-developed characters. Longtime readers of western novels and first-time readers will both find a lot to like in Hellgate. --Thomas Cobb, Spur Award-Winning Author of With Blood in their Eyes

P. Grady Cox, born in Rhode Island, moved to Arizona in 1990. Her love of Arizona history enables her to vividly portray authentic settings and characters that will transport readers to Arizona Territory. Volunteering at the Pioneer Arizona Living History Museum deepened her understanding of life in the 1800s, and she loves researching at the actual locations of her stories. A member of Western Writers of America and Women Writing the West, she lives in Phoenix with her Australian shepherd, Mustang Sally, surrounded by an amazing community of writers. Hellgate is her second novel; her first, Chasm Creek, was a finalist in historical fiction with the New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards. Visit patriciagradycox.com to learn more about the author.
