Stephanie Clarkson (Author) Stephanie Clarkson trained as a journalist and continues to contribute to the British press while writing both fiction and non-fiction titles for children. She believes her journalistic skills allow her to make even the most difficult subjects accessible to young readers. The author of several picture books, Stephanie is passionate about nurturing a love of books in children, frequently visits schools and is Patron of Reading at Clapham Terrace Primary School in Royal Leamington Spa. Sharie Coombes (Author) Dr Sharie Coombes is a former primary teacher, headteacher and local authority adviser and consultant who retrained as a child and family psychodynamic psychotherapist, neuropsychotherapist, solution-focused therapist, and specialist paediatric hypnotherapist. Sharie gained a doctorate in education from the University of Brighton in 2007 and is an expert in the therapeutic use of linguistic patterns. She has worked part-time as a child, adolescent and family psychotherapist at the NHS Tavistock Clinic in London with adopted and fostered children, young people and families. Alongside a busy private therapy practice in Brighton, Sharie now works as a volunteer psychosocial practitioner in the British Red Cross with the Refugee Support and International Family Tracing team. Sharie has 2 adult children. Accredited by: British Psychoanalytic Council, Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists, Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, General Hypnotherapy Register Katie Abey (Illustrator) Katie Abey is a yellow-haired illustrator human who lives in a teeny hobbit-like house in Derbyshire. She lives with a cat, a hedgehog, a husband and the world's smiliest baby. Her work provides doses of happiness and motivation with a little dash of sarcasm. Her love of colour is reflected in her brightly coloured studio space and her hair, which frequently changes colour to match its surroundings. As well as illustrating the Mindful Kids series, Katie is the author and illustrator of We Wear Pants and We Eat Bananas.
