Birds are the most tremendous animals that have economic significance to human society. Birds consume a huge number of destructive, eggs and larvae as well as insects which serve as ecological and biological control agents. In the aquatic ecosystem due to their feeding habitat water birds are normally infected by a variety of helminths. There are four major kinds of helminths, Trematodes, Cestodes, Nematodes, and Acanthocephala. The mature or larval mode or both perhaps pathogenic, thus morpho-taxonomical and their ecological examination of the helminth parasites which disturb the health of hosts are of importance. Hence, the parasite fauna of the Himantopus himantopus Black-winged stilt from Sindh, Pakistan was investigated. This is the first comprehensive parasitic study on BWS in Sindh, Pakistan.
