The basis of pathogenesis of the disease is an acquired inability of immune competent system (ICS) to realize key links of immune response. As a result, the resistance of the organism to the acts of different infectious agents lowers, and it leads to the dysfunction of immune surveillance. A gradual progressing of the disease leads to forming of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) which manifests itself secondary infectious lesions, malignant tumor growth, autoimmune and metabolic disorders, as well as the development of cardiovascular, nervous, osteoarticular system. In the absence of a specific treatment a disease ends in death.
