Among the topical and priority problems of brain stroke angio neurology, brain stroke holds a strong leading position due to its high medical and social significance. In Russia in the last decade, there is a trend of increasing frequency of brain stroke in people of working age. The lethality in the acute period of brain stroke in Russia reaches on average 30-44%. The cause of death in the acute period of ischemic stroke in the carotid system in 15-58% of cases is hemorrhagic transformation of the heart attack focus, the frequency and probability of which correlates with the pathogenetic nature of stroke, localization and volume of brain damage. Reliable early verification of the true nature of brain stroke as ischemic in 87-96% of cases, and identification of GTI as a complication of its acute period in 58-70% of cases is possible only by radial diagnostics. According to the literature, there is still no consensus on the preference for a CT or MRI for a more accurate diagnosis of hemorrhagic complications of acute period of ischemic stroke, the optimal timing and frequency of radiation testing.
