Autorenporträt

I am a mother of three sons, all married with children. I am a blessed grandmother to eight healthy grandchildren, who are my inspiration for writing this book. The two characters closely resemble two of the boys, although their names are different. Our conversations assisted me in developing this story At the age of 70, I put pen to paper and the words and illustrations just flowed from me. After reading countless books to the children, I became acutely aware of the importance of the illustrations as well as the simplicity of the words when written in rhyme. I hope to begin a series of books with the intention of both a good narrative combined with a worthwhile lesson. I hope that after reading, it will present an opportunity for discussion. So many things have changed since I was a child but one thing remains constant... "it is never too late to have a happy childhood!" All profits from this book will be donated to the foundation I have formed called "Beautiful Hope". The mission is for the rehabilitation, research, and assistance to children with terminal illnesses, disabilities or personal struggles. I am grateful to have been given the grace to have the courage to write this book and to my son, Jeffrey, for his guidance and computer skills.
