Dori Sanders grew up near York, South Carolina, where she still lives. She is also the author of the novel Clover and a cookbook, Dori Sanders' Country Cooking. Sanders lives on her family's land, one of the oldest black-owned farms in the country, and divides her time between public speaking appearances and managing the Sanders' Peach Shed.
