On Kimberly Nguyen's first birthday, her parents placed twelve objects in front of her, each representing a different future. She could've chosen beauty. She could've chosen wealth. But instead, she chose the pen, forever sealing her fate as a writer. Since then, her work has been featured in diaCRITICS, Hobart, Muzzle Magazine, and others. She was a 2021 Emerging Voices Fellow at PEN America and a finalists for numerous awards. She currently lives in New York City with her toy poodle, Mila.
