This book is an attempt to implement lessons learned in the course of Heritage management for post-crisis recovery of urban centers, a course offered in the master program of Post-disaster/post-war reconstruction and rehabilitation at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University. The course is coordinated by the editor of this book. The professors , guests and students of the course presenting in different chapters the work of 6 month of research and analysis of multi case studies and projects from over the world where cultural heritage is used as a resource for recovery. Cultural heritage is managed through deferent practices using diverse tools of management in order to create and plan strategies to help communities and urban centers to recover from a crisis they passed through. Diversity of crisis, such as natural disasters, wars, economic and social crisis, migration, and civil wars, covered in the different chapters of the book shows the power and important role that heritage can playin recovery.
