The architectural heritage conservation is in an unhealthy and deteriorating state in Pakistan. It is attributed mainly due to the ineffective laws and inefficient professionalism. Much of the improvement can be made by comparing the set of relevant Pakistani as well as European laws. There is a need for the modern professionals to conduct a very specific, climatically, culturally, and area specific research. The objective should be to propose such amendments that could help update firstly the present regulations, and secondly the existing conditions.
