When Caroline Engbert inherits her grandparents' home, she is not only surprised and grateful, but also deeply hurt and angry at God. Following her parents' deaths, she'd grown up in a series of foster homes with no knowledge of her grandparents' existence. Why had she never known them or received acknowledgment of any kind from them while they were alive? What had happened in her family to create such a rift? Is there any way for her to find out? As Book One of the Caroline's Heritage series opens, distant toddler memories prevent her from selling their beautiful home and bring her back as a nineteen-year-old to the house she remembers as part of a happier time in life, a time when she had a family of her own, a time when she was loved. Without resources, without family, there is no one else to rely on. She must make it on her own. What will this unexpected inheritance mean to Caroline? How can her homecoming possibly bring the family restoration she longs for, when God has taken all of her family from her? Unsure of what she will find, she is determined to search out all that the house has to reveal. Follow her journey as she discovers her true family history and spiritual legacy in this story of salvation and redemption.
