-from fear to friendship-how getting to know your anxiety can change your life... (Includes Workbook) Having the ability to turn inwards in times of distress and mental suffering is a valuable intrapersonal skill. Hey, anxiety... offers an intimate way to approach anxious feelings, one that explores a relationship with self, and aims to bolster inner-harmony by utilising the strengths already within us. By awakening these qualities, and by engaging them to support and regulate ourselves, we can become more confident, self-sufficient & empowered. Written as a series of conversations, Hey, anxiety... invites the reader to explore one aspect of anxiety at a time, in their own time, supporting the reality that no matter how well we are helped by others, healing is ultimately an intimate and personal journey-and more importantly, that there is great strength in that. A work/exercise section is included at the end of the book for those who wish to take notes or to explore their experiences further... 'I hope your message spreads far and wide...' Sonia Zadro, Clinical Psychologist, Sydney 'Honest, inspiring and comforting...what a gift you have created!' Sue Scheinpflug, Business Leader, Brisbane 'Fabulous!!!' Kylie Carter, Nurse Practitioner, Ballarat
Autorenporträt
Elizabeth was born in England into a musical family. She attended Chetham's School of Music, Manchester, was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music as a cellist and teacher. In her late twenties, she realised she was suffering burnout from life as a musician and decided to search for another career. In her early thirties, with two young children in tow, she started to draw while the youngest was asleep in her lap and these 'doodles' became greeting cards. Over the next few years she began to paint larger works on paper and canvas. Her art career spanned twenty years, three galleries and over 800 works. These days, Elizabeth spends much of her time studying counselling and plans to add NLP and Reiki to her portfolio. She also looks after Harrison, her grandson, a couple of days a week with husband Wayne and together they have become 'IzzyPoppy'! Her first book Feel! was published in January 2022 and can be found on her website: elizabethbloomfield.net. Apart from the arts, her interests lie in all aspects of health and healing. She has always believed that emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health are intrinsically linked, and strives to highlight awareness of this in her work. Elizabeth lives in Meanjin/Brisbane with her husband, and their grown-up children live close by.
