Over time, Hezekiah becomes a national figure and a well-established businessman. Yet the trail of heartbreak continues. Hezekiah engages in several failed attempts to recover a lost family, and with many lovers over several years, who will carry on his legacy and take his estate? Pat Lindsay Fletcher's debut historical novel, is a gripping tale of class, race, and family struggle in the colonial era of early to mid-twentieth century Jamaica.
