It premiered Sunday, July 23, 2006 and aired new episodes on HGTV every Sunday night at 9 PM Eastern Daylight Time/Pacific Daylight Time, with encore presentations Thursdays at 8 PM E/P and Saturdays at 6 PM E/P. The show is hosted by Clive Pearse. Vern Yip, host of Deserving Design; Genevieve Gorder, host of Dear Genevieve; and Candice Olson, host of Divine Design, currently serve as the show's three judges. Previous judges include Cynthia Rowley, a designer of fashion and home accessories, and Martha McCully, executive editor of the magazine InStyle. Each week the remaining contestants participate in an interior design challenge such as designing a living space or creating a space in empty room using unconventional items from a pet store, mechanics store, or a discount store. The designers are given a specified amount of time to complete each project, as well as a specified amount of cash in order to create a design to be judged.
