P.A. De Voe is an award winning author and cultural anthropologist. She's published extensively in the social sciences, particularly in the areas of cultural change, immigrant and refugee studies, and cross-cultural mediation. Now she has entered another exciting world: writing contemporary and historical mysteries and crime stories. Her first cozy mystery A Tangled Yarn, published by Annie's Publishing in late 2013, is set in a deceptively peaceful Oregon coastal town. Presently, she writes two historical series set in 14th and 15th Century China. oHidden, is the first of a YA historical adventure/mystery trilogy. Set in 1380 China, a young bi-racial daughter of a magistrate finds her once safe world turned upside down when her father is falsely accused of treason. She is forced to flee her home and finds herself kidnapped and sold as an indentured servant. oThe Judge Lu Ming Dynasty Case Files, is a series of short stories modeled after crime stories traditionally written by Chinese magistrates themselves. Each story highlights a legal system where the magistrate's role is multi-faceted; he's the investigator, prosecutor, defense lawyer, judge, and jury. Pam happily lives in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband and Sophie, a feral cat who-once she came inside-never left. Pam's daughter and son-in-law live in Wisconsin.
