This study conducted on the assessment of management practice & marketing system of hide & in Werabe, Hulbareg, Misrak Silti and Alichoy districts with the objectives of assess management's practices & identify hide and skin marketing system. A survey was conducted collected data from all butcheries & all middlemen and trader/collection center in all district areas. Semi structured questionnaire and secondary data were collected from all districts. In addition, the management practice and marketing system of hides and skins were studied from 400 sampled in all district areas.Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. Results indicated that from district area 94.6% in Werabe, 94.7% in Hulbareg, 86.8% in Mis/Silt and 88.9% respondents in Alichoy were not sold the hide and skin to the market.Similarly 34.5%,16.2% and 49.3% of respondents sold hide and skin for collection center, informal market and middlemen respectively in district areas.73.0% of interviewed respondent were reject hide and skin by the case of lack of market access.According to extension service for farmer, 59.8% of the total interviewed respondents were no supporting extension service about hide and skin.
