The output voltage of photovoltaic and fuel cell system is very low. Mostly conventional boost converter is used to increase the output voltages from low input voltages systems. The main disadvantage of conventional boost converter is cannot work in high ration duty cycle because of limited switching frequency and minimum OFF time of transistor switches. This work presents some new topologies of DC-DC boost converters which can provide high voltage gain as well as lowers switching stress across the semiconductor devices. One high step-up DC-DC converter named as a DC-DC boost converter with extended voltage gainis proposed. This proposed converter introduced to reduce losses and voltage stresses on circuit components.
