HINDSIGHT: Remembering the Cold War and Struggle against Dictatorship is a book of personal memoirs covering the years before the Pacific war, the Cold War, martial law in the Philippines, the author's escape from the long arm of repression, and his participation in the struggle against the Marcos dictatorship. He returned to the Philippines during the people's uprising in 1986 only to see another ruling elite take over the country. As a retired academic, he is once again involved in the people's movement to prevent the rise of another despot.
