Low back pain is a chronic problem that affects many people around the world. The aim of this study was to correlate hip range of motion with pain in patients with chronic low back pain. The results showed that the highest incidence of low back pain was in females, that there was a random distribution of low back pain in the different age groups and that all individuals had a reduction in range of motion in all hip movements. Understanding the mechanisms that influence the onset of low back pain can help in health decision-making, reducing treatment and medication costs.
