Autorenporträt
Mike Haywood was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia, where he still resides. He is retired from the Peninsula Baptist Association, and he also worked for the Hampton Social Service Department and the Juvenile Court. An avid scuba diver for forty years, Mike pursued shipwrecks, historical sites, springs, coastal and offshore waters, and underwater photography. His work with the Peninsula Baptist Association included ministries for children, teens, and special population groups. For twenty years, Mike conducted camps and retreats for hearing- and vision-impaired youth. During the camps, Mike and his fellow divers used their diving equipment in the pool to provide a scuba experience for those special campers.
