Felicity Day qualified as a solicitor before deciding to pursue a writing career. She began by writing magazine features that allowed her to indulge her love of history, and in particular, her passion for the Georgian period (for which the novels of Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer are largely responsible). She has since written about British history and heritage for a whole range of publications, from the Telegraph, the Mail on Sunday's YOU Magazine and Country Life, to specialist history titles such as Who Do You Think You Are? and History Revealed.
