Consultant professor of the nursing department at the University of Medical Sciences of Sancti Spíritus, she graduated as a nursing technician in 1975, continued her studies and in 1991 finished her Bachelor's degree, has completed postgraduate studies in the specialty and pedagogical court, and since 1979 she has worked as a teacher.
