Tomas Bata (TB) personality is well known due to well-known psychological and moral aspects of business that resulted in principles so called "Batism". The social aspects of TB business are mentioned, too. The areas of work with information are defined in production, marketing, and human resource; indicating their content, frequency and forms for preparing data. For comparison the current work with information was selected the information system QI, DC Concept Company, Czech Republic. In selected subsystems were described modules and functions. The Bata era is characterized by strict rationalization; there is collected only the information that will be used in the company and are always addressed to specific recipients. Todayunnecessary information is collected often without regard to their future use. Using of information is not nearly so focused, as in TB period.

Jakub is a student in doctoral study at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic; employee in Rector's Office. Ladislav is a professor at the University of Defence in Brno and Tomas Bata University in Zlín, member of Academic Boards. He has been head of the some research programs; has written course books and monographs.
