The Golden Age, a publication in magazine format of which only four issues were published, had a preferential place among the multiple activities of José Martí's New York life during the year 1889. For some it was a rest to the fiery spirit of the Apostle, who was organizing the revolution for the independence of Cuba; criterion that we do not share, since this literary work can be placed among the texts of greater revolutionary potential of all the times and it plays an essential function in his project of national liberation.
