"Prof. Cholpon Chotaeva's History of Kyrgyzstan: Lecture Book is a first-of-its-kind text. A pedagogical volume in the English language to teach the history of the Kyrgyz nation, although specifically intended for secondary school teachers and university lecturers, its real value lies in the fact that it is the first-known attempt in a language other than Russian and Kyrgyz to lay out its topic in a systematic faction.
