John Daley is a resident of Sullivan, Maine. He grew up in Sorrento, Maine, the middle child of three and received his diploma from Sumner Memorial High School, Sullivan, Maine. He attended the University of Maine at Machias, and received his B.S. Degree in Secondary Education, Major: History and Minor: Social Science. John attended the University of Maine, Orono, Maine, and received his Master's Degree in Educational Administration. He has been a public education teacher or administrator for 36 years. John became certified as an Open Water Diver through the YMCA in 1974 and in 1996 became a PADI instructor. He has since reached to level of MSDT. He has been lobster fishing for over 35 years. Marlene Daley is a resident of Sullivan, Maine. She grew up in Chester, Maine, the youngest of 15 children and received her diploma from Mattanawcook Academy, Lincoln, Maine. She attended the University of Maine at Machias and received her A.S. Degree in Recreational Management and a B.S. Degree in Education, Major: Elementary Education. Marlene attended the University of Maine, Orono, Maine, and received her Master's Degree in Education, Major: Special Education. She has been a public education teacher or administrator for 34 years. Marlene became certified as an Open Water Diver through the YMCA in 1984 and in 1996 became a PADI instructor. She has since reached to level of MSDT. John and Marlene (Tash) Daley were married in 1984. They have three daughters; Jessie, Tashia, and Jennie. They have been owners of the restaurant by the bridge in Sullivan since 1995.
