The book discusses the history of development of textile materials from ancient times and its beautification by coloration. For coloration a number of natural colours extracted from vegetable, animals and minerals were used in earlier days. Asim Kumar Roy Choudhury is principal, Gargi Memorial Institute of Tech. He was professor and HOD (Textile) at the Govt. College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore (India). He has authored several books published by reputed publishers like Woodhead, Elsivier, Springer, Textile Institute and SDC.
