HIV and AIDS is a global concern since it has manifested devastating effects on humanity. This is worse off to the poor urban affected households in Sub-Sahara Africa where they frequently face food shortage. Clinical treatment is not adequate and attempts to improve the nutrition for HIV and AIDS individuals are important. The book demonstrates the relevancy of urban agricultural intervention in mitigating the effects of HIV and AIDS in Sub Sahara Africa. Socio-cultural, socio-economics and socio-demographics characteristics of the urban HIV and AIDS infected and affected households plays a key role in adoption of dairy goats keeping and vegetable growing in the urban setting. The two interventions described in this book require little resources and simple technology. The infected are able to integrate clinical therapy and nutrition. Based on these research findings; older persons who are HIV and AIDS infected and affected persons in the urban are more likely to embrace agricultural interventions to alleviate the impacts than the younger persons. Social benefits accrued from the intervention are; reduced stigma raised social status and enhances scope of friends.
