Produktbeschreibung
'Acanthus Leaves and Roses', winner of the II Pablo García Baena Poetry Prize, invites the reader to immerse themselves in the contemplation of nature and the human condition from a perspective that defies postmodern aesthetics. Bravo once again demonstrates her enormous literary personality in what would become the most outstanding exponent of the new romanticism. With a writing steeped in nostalgia, the author reflects on the transience of time and the permanence of nature, the dialogue between poetic tradition and the contemporary voice and the human connection with the feeling of love. In addition to all this, 'Acanthus Leaves and Roses' is also an interesting reflection on the very act of writing poetry. The book is divided into two parts: a series of poems that explore the depths of melancholy in evocative landscapes, and another that celebrates life and the perennial beauty that resides in the self-awareness of solitude. Written with a powerful culturalism that ingeniously combines the poetic craft with an extreme sense of beauty and hedonism, Bravo ratifies his status as an essential poet in the current literary panorama of our country.
